TIP: What these other WhatsApp versions offer that the original WhatsApp doesn’t

While there’s only one official WhatsApp app by Facebook, there’s are many other WhatsApp versions made by other groups of people, The most one being GBWhatsApp and WhatsApp Plus.

In this article we list the different versions and provide links to where you can download them.

Please note: Using an unofficial WhatsApp apk comes with the risk, least of which is that your number may get banned from using WhatsApp. Worse things include:

GBWhatsApp is a creation of a group called Team GB. It offers some customisations and removes some limitation that are on the official WhatsApp.

  • You can post unlimited WhatsApp Stories

2. WhatsApp Plus

WhatsApp Plus is also one of the most popular alternative versions of WhatsApp. It was introduced in the market in 201 by a developer and  XDA member called Rafalete.

  • Enables you to share HD quality images, videos longer than 30 seconds, 50 MB of video size, and 100 MB of Audio size.

  • You can send files up to 50MB of size instead of the standard 16MB
  • More WhatsApp themes than the official
  • Recalling and scheduling of WhatsApp messages
  • You get more emojis
  • Hiding of status for when you don’t want your contacts to know that you’re online

3. FMWhatsApp

Like other modified version of WhatsApp, FMWhatsApp allows for more customisations and lifting of limitations.

Features you get with FMWhatsApp include the following:

  • Deactivating the video calling feature
  • You can share large files up to 700 MB
  • Lock the app by setting a password
  • Hide features like last seen, blue ticks, and double ticks
  • Replacing the green theme of the original App with your desired color and selection from the library
  • Allows you to send messages to a large group containing 500 people
  • You can send 60 images to one recipient
  • It has an anti-delete feature, which forbids the recipient to delete your sent messages.
